ICAB Introduces Revised CA Syllabus 2025
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) has introduced the Revised CA Syllabus 2025, reflecting a modernized and competency-based approach to Chartered Accountancy education. Developed in alignment with the ICAEW curriculum and adapted to the local regulatory and business environment, the revised syllabus is designed to enhance professional competence and align accounting education in Bangladesh with internationally recognized standards. The revised curriculum incorporates updated learning outcomes, a restructured subject framework, enhanced syllabus content, and a comprehensive assessment approach across the Certificate Level, Professional Level, and Advanced Level. It aims to equip aspiring Chartered Accountants with the technical knowledge, analytical skills, ethical values, and professional competencies required to meet the evolving demands of the profession.
The syllabus also introduces a revised examination structure, including online assessments for selected subjects, while maintaining the existing examination policies relating to marks distribution, exemptions, examination duration, maximum attempts, and recognition of results. The introduction of the Revised CA Syllabus 2025 represents a significant milestone in strengthening the Chartered Accountancy qualification in Bangladesh and fostering the development of highly skilled accounting professionals capable of serving both national and global business environments.
